The Two Towers
I just want to say, far and wide, that more and more, I think when Theoden says the lament of Eorl as he's being armed is the absolute best and most brilliant moment of both movies. See here for the text of the lament, along with context on its origin.

Watching it the second time, tears came many times where no tears had sprung the first time. Odd.

Listening to the soundtrack now, with context, I'm tearing up a lot more even than I did in the movie. I think I was concentrating too hard on being objective the second time around, but expect I'll be a sobbing wreck more than once the third viewing.

Not familiar with the text, still haven't seen the movie the 2nd time, but thanks for posting this--otherwise, I wouldn't have thought of listening to that part carefully.

I *did*, however, really like that scene the first time around, even without the context.

(Guess who also has the soundtrack on right now :)
