I'm doing wedding planning right now. If you have any questions, let me know.
As for save the dates... I ended up not doing them due to financial reasons. However, instead I called everyone after I was engaged and announced the engagement at the same time I told them when the wedding was (So that those out of town could start thinking about if they wanted to go)
OTOH we had a date when D.J. proposed to me. And my location was secured quickly afterward so this was possible.
